Ambition is like the root of a plant. Whether your ambitions are like a tap root, which has one primary root to which small roots sprout from (as dandelions), or a fibrous root, which has one small primary root and many small roots that branch off from it in all different directions (as grass), that is up to you. Remember, however, that if something were to cause a flood to pour into your life, the taproot is sure to be swept away and the fibrous root, on the contrary, is sure to withstand the force of the gushing waters. Therefore, plant your ambitions on a good foundation and let them spread about, rather than just feeding off the one.
