Would this be a good story idea?

In two weeks I will be starting my senior year. I really want to write a story about it. Applying to colleges, the last year with your best friends, figuring out what to do after high school. That kind of stuff. It won't necessarily be about my life, but what if feels like to be a senior.

So my first question is would that even be a good story idea? And then I was also wondering if I should write like an original fiction or if it should be one of those stories where people can submit their own stories about senior year and turn it into a survival guide kinda thing?

I would really like your opinion. I think either one would be really fun to do.
