My best friend

so i like this guy. he's been my best friend for a long time. i told him my deepest darkest secret. nobody but him and one other person knows it. he knows me better then my bestest friend of 8 years does. i dont know what to do. should i play hard to get? how do i know if he likes me? what if he dont feel the same? what do i do then? if he does like me then what do i do?
