I'm gonna make sweaters for penguins.

So I’ve finally found a way to justify my wasteful spending on yarn and knitting needles—knitting for charity rather than myself. My first mission: knit sweaters for penguins.

There was this oil spill off the coast of New Zealand, causing hundreds of penguins to die (only hundreds might be an exaggeration). After the nice wildlife-saving people down there pick up the penguins to save them, they take them to this sink thing and wash them off.The poor penguins are then getting cold and they needs sweaters!

Tonight, I went out with one of my best friends to get yarn. I got [url=www.stitchnationyarn.com/Yarns/full-o-sheep.html]this[/url] yarn. One skein in aquamarine, one in passionfruit.

I’m so excited about this. These poor penguins.
