AGH! CAN ANYBODY HELP ME PUT A BANNER ON MY NEW LAYOUT??

happy thanksgiving, btw. I've had a great one so far.

turkey is delicious.

so, i made a custom layout and i have a kick butt banner for it. only problem? i cant figure out how to put the banner onto the top of the layout. its for my story Flashbang. any help would be greatly appreciated. i really just need step by step instuctions. if there are any available forums with help, let me know please.
