Musical Insperation

Does anyone here listen to music to help give their story a better boost of the emotion they want? Or is it just me?
I just recently tried to write a couple of different endings for my story 'Your Heartless' and listened to different songs for different views.
The first song was the original insperation for my story, 'Heartless' by Hinder, this produced a mild dramatic ending.
The next I went for was, 'Forsaken' by Within Temptation, this gave me a boost on putting emotion into it, forming a bit more of a sad atmosphere.
But, it wasn't as depressing as I wanted it to be, so I listened to, 'Fix You' by Coldplay.
Whether or not you think this song is depressing, it provded a whole new ending, I don't usually praise my self, but it turned out way too depressing then I had hoped for.

If you don't use this tack tic, I really recommended it, it works brilliantly, but if you try to create a depressing atmosphere like I did, it can seriously ruin your mood.
