Has Anyone Else Ever Had This Problem With Their iPod?

I'll play something on my iPod like a playlist or an artist or a cd or whatever and it just gets all fucked up.

Like, it'll play the first few songs of whatever I'm listening to and then it will just stop. No music will be playing at all. Then I'll look down on my iPod's screen and it will just be slowly flipping through all of the songs in whatever playlist I was listening to. Sometimes it will stop on a random song and start playing (like it will play #1, #2, #3 then skip to #9, or something stupid) and sometimes it will just stop playing all together. My battery has also been dying very quickly.

I've tried resetting it, but nothing worked, so I'm going to call Apple tomorrow, but has anyone else ever had this happen to their iPod before. And if so, what did you have do to fix it, or did you have to replace it?
