Day 12 - Character types I like and love
Beginning with the types of characters I love to write, I like those with a background; characters who are at least a little broken, and are emotionally vulnerable (the traditional 'emo kid', if you will). I think this stems from a personal empathy, and the ability to feel with them, which is one of the best parts of writing and reading. It also gives them flaws and weaknesses to make these characters more human an interesting - as well as creating a backbone around which to create or unwind the major plot, deending on if you are writing or reading, respectively.
