Layouts?

So I wanna make my own layout with a personal selection of pictures...how would i go about doing that? I need answers and fast. I am clueless about computers and programs but my friend Brian is supposed to help me, so we just need a general idea of how to do it and make it look awesome and legit. I want it a bit customized, I suppose you could say. I want to do it to make reading my stories funner for you guys, the readers and kind supporters. I appreciate your enthusiasm about my stories, because being a writer is my dream. Actually, being published or having it put on a screen is my actual dream, but we have to start somewhere, despite it being somewhere small.
