So,yesterday I skipped class.(I know I shouldn't,but I was bored out of my mind,so...)Anyway,when I came back today,my Spanish teacher looked at me and called me to her desk.I thought I was in trouble again for skipping,yet I couldn't care less so I just walked in.Our conversation went something like this:
"Charlene,how are you today?"
"Fine,Miss Rodriguez,thanks for asking."
"Good.Listen Charlene,you have to stop skipping.It's not doing any good to you."
"*Sigh*Yeah,I know,so sorry."
She throws a sympathetic look at me.
"Well,apology accepted.Guess what?"
My head shot up.
"What?"
She grins and holds a piece of paper in her hand.
"Would you like to be in a poetry contest?"
I squeal like a little girl and said yes.Then,stranged by the proposal,I ask why me and not another student with better grades.
She grinned awkwardly at me and says:
"Good grades have nothing to do with being a great poet,Charlene.You have a way with words no one else in this classroom has,that's why I picked you."
I nodded my appreciation and ran off the room,happy as can be.
What I need you guys to say is to tell me if I have enough talent and if I should give it a shot,just an opinion,really.Thanks :)
