rejection in a variety pack

so yeah every year it comes and every year it has to be dealt with accordingly.... homecoming

last year i went stag and ended up babysitting not only one of my friends date but also one of my friends. I didnt dance or do much else other than talk to Hunter.
This year I am bound and determined to have a dat and look all cute and have a fun/romantic night out.

BUT i have a few problems....
1. its impossible for ME to look cute....
2. I dont know what guy to go with

so i thought these problems through and decided to fix the fixable one. Two guys came to mind right away. Cody & Shawn.

Shawn- old best friend
moved away a few months ago
used to have a crush on him
still kinda do

Cody- freshman
cutie
plays bass drum on my line
previously crushed on him

so i talk to shawn and he says if i ask out cody and he says no than shawn will go with me.
so ok cool ill atleast have a date.
BUT he may not be able to be here homeocming weekend
I ask cody today and i get shot down in the worst way
"I dont know if im going with anyone, my bros coming into town and yeah...."

so i call shawn i sit on the phone with him for 5 minutes and he doesnt talk so i hung up and that with two hours ago
he didnt call back or apologize for ignoring me or anything
