How I want my stories to be || Two of my biggest inspirations

Possibly my biggest inspirations for my current story: The Everetts as well as all my other stories, is the beautiful photographs by Laura Makabresku and by Magdalena Lutek also known as Nishe, both wonderful artists from Poland.

Their photography is just such a huge inspiration and never before had I really felt connected to an artist. The images are so surreal, fairytale like and familiar, it's almost like seeing my dreams in reality. I can shut my eyes and pretend I'm there.

I just wish I could write like they takes photos. The only person I can compare to their work is the woman who wrote Deathless (whose name escapes me and I'm far too lazy to google it). Deathless was possibly one of the most magical and beautiful books I've ever read and gave me such vivid, wonderful dreams as I was reading it.

If I could put even just a small amount of the magic in my writing like there is in these photographs, then will I believe that I am a good writer. Until then, I will consider myself average.
