I'm an Admin AND a Human Being

I'm and admin and a human being.

I just wanted to type that again, because today it seems like people are forgetting that.

I'm not going to use this blog to talk about the rules, explain why people are banned, or try to douse any flames. That's been done enough times already. I am, however, going to use this to remind Mibbians of one simple thing: I am a person.

I am a person. It does hurt my feelings when people blog about how much they dislike the admins, because they're talking about me. I do get upset when people tell me I'm unfair or I suck at my job.

I am a person. I don't enjoy banning people. I don't enjoy the angry messages I get from users when I do ban them. I don't enjoy being told how wrong I am, how unfeeling I am, or how much of a tyrant I am.

I am a person. I'm a girlfriend, a daughter, a sister and a friend. I'm a student, a future teacher and a hard worker. I'm more than just a title. I'm more than just the rules that I enforce. I am more than decision makingand answering questions.

I am a person.

Not a bad one, but a good one.

And I think sometimes people forget that.
