Out Of Control Writing Playlists?

The past few months I've been totally consumed with this story idea and it's been eating me alive. I've written a decent portion of it, but I've found through a lot of trial and error that the words come best when I have a playlist for whatever characters I'm writing at the moment. My playlists don't have creative titles or anything, and I started at first but just dragging a bunch of songs I liked into a Spotify playlist.

My playlist is now 35 songs long (with about seven others for different characters) and I'm kind of obsessed with it. It's almost impossible for me to write or do anything sem-creative without listening to it.

Anyway, does anyone else do this and suddenly find themselves with a million playlists that are miles long?

These ten songs are my favorite on the playlist, and I have to listen to them in this exact order or else all hope of writing a non-mediocre scene is destroyed:

1) A Conversation About Death On New Year's Eve by Scattered Trees

2) You & I by Years & Years

3) Haven't Had Enough by Marianas Trench

4) Home by Paradise Fears

5) Pompeii by Bastille

6) Somewhere Only We Know - Lily Allen's cover

7) Wild by Royal Teeth

8) Patience Gets Us Nowhere Fast by Capital Cities

9) Chocolate by the 1975

10) (Coffee's for Closers) by Fall Out Boy. There is never a reason not to have Fall Out Boy on a playlist. It could be a playlist made strictly for Mozart and Beethoven and Fall Out Boy will still have a place on that playlist.

Anyway, if you want to share some songs from a writing playlist of yours or want to suggest new ones, please do!
