Re-Writing Stories

How often do you guys re-write things? At the moment, I want to re-write everything, and if I had time, I might. But it's so god damn hard.

The plot stays mostly the same, the architecture of the story is different. I want a different title, a different layout, a few different personalities, different scenes...It's almost like scrapping the whole thing.

I've only re-written one story before, Symptoms of Life, and I'm still not a huge fan of it. It's not completed, and it's still not right...but it's getting there.

I'm mostly talking about old stories, things that I started years ago, wrote a chapter or five of, and got bored. Namely, My Regality, Aurora Woods, and We the North. I'm just not a fan.

My main focus is definitely My Regality, and first off I hate the title, love the idea. But I literally don't even know what to do.

How do you go about re-writing?
