Submitted to a Publisher (And I'm Totally Freaking Out!)

Who here has submitted to a publisher? I just submitted my synopsis and first 5 pages today, and I feel like I'm panicking now! I'm constantly checking my e-mail even though it's a Sunday and no one even knows my submission is in their inbox yet!

I think I'm super nervous because I've only ever put my fan-fiction out in the public eye. I'm almost scared to have someone read my original fiction, partly because my characters are so personal because I created them, and partly because it's an erotic romance and I'm afraid they're going to say it's complete crap.

I feel like fan-fiction already has a good base of fans because of who you choose to write about, but I'm soooo nervous about my manuscript! Any words of advice?
