Why Do We Label?

People have the unfailing ability to catagorise things into groups, even when those things are all unique in their own way. One of the worst form of this habit is labels.

Emos
Jocks
Preps
Losers
Nerds
Loners

the list goes on and on.
For God's sakes, we are just PEOPLE.
We have a right to be whatever we want to be, and not be judged and labeled by people. But it happens all the time. With out exception, everyone has been called some kind of stereotype that they really don't fit into.

WHY?

When did that start?

Why can't we just be ourselves?
