Pretty ****ing Odd

So MTV.com leaked Panic[!] At The Disco's new CD, Pretty. Odd., a week early. I'm not sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing [for them, at the very least]. In my opinion, it's okay. I can't lie, I really miss the old Panic[!]. The synthesizers, the sexual innuendo...that was fun stuff. Now they're talking about nature and how things are changing; they've become the new Beatles, in my opinion**. Their new stuff isn't something you'd jump up and down to at a concert, like I did two summers ago. Their new stuff is more like the frolic-in-the-meadow Woodstock kind of music that people listened to when your parents were teenagers.

You can't deny, Brendon Urie still has a drop-dead sexy voice. And the music is well-written, it's not like they're horrible all together. It's just that no one is used to this side of Panic[!], you know?

My biggest question is just this: what prompted them to make such a drastic change?

**I edited this in after...anyway, does anyone know who The Shins are? I think they sound like them, too.
