I'm falling inlove with music all over again. Suggestions?

At school ive been silently pressured into not showing or listening to the music i love. Sure I listen to indie music and its alright. But Ive been so angry at myself for pushing the music i love out of my life. I love music like The Used, Escape the Fate, Avenged Sevenfold, Silverchairs old stuff, but now Ive missed out on like a years worth of new bands like this! Any band suggestions? I want my old life back, help me out? : [
