Folk Festival today!
I went at twelve and basically wandered around until I convinced my friend to come down too. Wandering then resumed.
Acts I saw:
-Rah Rah
-The Polymaths
-The Library Voices
-Old Man Ludecke
-Ndidi Onukwulu
-soso
-Chris Merk
-Def 3
-The Choir Practice
-Woodpidgeon
I saw a few of them two or three times even.
Three bands that really stood out for me were The Polymaths (who I thought had broken up), The Library Voices & Rah Rah. I actually came to see those three bands alone & when I got there, all three were playing a show together. Just amazing. Right before the rain came, The Polymaths played Strike!. I thought it was funny and ironic & eerily suiting.
Then it rained. It rained like a motherfucker. We caught a bus back but I still had to run home a block or two. By the time I got in the door, I was practically soaked. It kept on raining until 10 at night. We were going to go again this evening, but there would only be one or two shows left. Blah. I had a good time though and I'm definitely going all weekend next year.
