Cross my heart and hope to die
Burn my lungs and curse my eyes
I've lost control and I don't want it back
I'm going numb, I've been hijacked

Just one more hit and then we're through
'Cause you could never love me back
Cut every tie I have to you
'Cause your love's a fucking drag
But I need it so bad

Kat stood in the cemetery, biting her bottom lip lightly as she watched the head witch of their coven begin the spell. They were trying to summon a demon to help protect them from the dangers of the other creatures that were near. Kat looked up when the older lady said her name. Kat stepped forward, knowing that she was the one who's blood was going to summon the demon. She had been told it would connect with her and it scared her. She knew black magic was bad, but they needed help. Sure the coven was strong, but things were only getting worse.

Kat gasped when she felt the knife cut her hand. She looked down at the bowl as her blood dripped into it. The candles around everyone blew out as the wind picked up. "Now we wait." Said the older lady. Kat looked at her then stepped back when she did. Kat wondered how long they were to wait. "The demon will come to you Kat. Be in contact with us." The lady said before walking away. Kat frowned as she gathered her things and headed home. Kat walked into her house she shared with her grandmother and went upstairs. She shut her bedroom door, feeling a little freaked out about all of this. Kat got dressed for bed and sat down on her bed. She looked out the window, laying down. She couldn't sleep because she felt like someone was watching her.
Shay stood on a cliff that looked over the town and scanned the area. His pack were hunting tonight and he wanted to get a good idea of what the area was like. Shay started to walk down the mountain then cut out of the woods. He walked down the street, pulling his hood up and his hands in his pockets. He stopped when he smelled something different. Another creature. He looked around and saw a small girl walking down the street. She looked so small, but Shay knew to never trust a human form. Witches could be tiny and drop you with a glance. This girl wasn't a witch though.

    Lyla Silvermen | Werecat

It had been impulsive of her to walk down to the coffee shop after an argument with her parents. She was made aware of this when, after ordering her coffee she decided to walk around the downtown of the sleepy little place she and her clan had decided to recently make home. It was a supernatural hotspot, a fact which was made all too aware to the petite werecat as she wandered down the sidewalks of the town, exploring what was there. She was poking around a few clothing racks outside some boutique store, her eye caught by a cute summer dress when she noticed him. He was a few yards ahead of her, his Aegean depths piercing and pure, even from a distance. It was when the wind blew, the shift in the wind bringing a rather familiar and dangerous scent. A werewolf. Almost instantly her heart beat doubled; pounding in her chest. Her parents had warned her about going on out on her own; warned her about the wolves.

Panic began to clout her judgement. Should she confront him? Run? Stay put and call for help? Wolves were naturally aggressive, but that was especially true in the case of werecats. Although, to be fair werecats were normally just as territorial and aggressive towards wolves. As if held in a trance by his gaze, Lyla remained rooted to the spot. Did he even know what she was? Werecats were less common than wolves, but did she want to take that chance? The male who before had been still, began to move towards her. The flight part of her brain's war won out and keeping her head down Lyla made her way into the store. Browse a few racks, and hopefully he would just pass on. God her parents were going to kill her. Being next in line for the Clan's Diente meant that they were often overprotective of her; and they were going to be furious that she had put herself in a situation like this. With trembling hands Lyla made her way to the back of the store's aisle of clothing, pretending to consider a faux leather jacket.

Thinking she was in the clear, Lyla was about to call her mom to pick her up when the doorbell of the shop rang. Peering out from the clothing section she was in, sure enough there was the wolf. "Shit." Lyla thought; wondering what the wolf wanted. Hopefully not to disembowel her. There wasn't really even any place to hide as the shop had a pretty open layout, save for the tiny corner she was pretending to shop in, while keeping an eye on the male out of the corner of her eye. He didn't look aggressive. If anything he looked curious, almost... Friendly. Before she could think anymore, he was standing next to her, and Lyla's mind went blank. "Hi. I haven't seen you around town before. Just moved here?" He spoke, sounding... Well not like he wanted to murder her. However her guard was still up, turning so they were facing each other she noted the subtle scent of cigarettes that clung to him like an inoffensive cologne. She didn't know what his plan was, but she couldn't exactly whip out her claws in the middle of the store. Her only option was to play along, and pray that his wolf buddies weren't lurking around. "Yes. Is it obvious?" Her words were accompanied with a small smile, though her guard was still highly up.

    Matthew Essex | Demon

Hell wasn't a place he liked being. The sulfur stench, the screams and other horrors he couldn't even begin to explain were his daily life. What Matthew normally did, was help torture those who were on the racks. A low-level demon who's days would likely be lived out on a plane separate from mortality. Or so he thought. One minute he was going about his job, and then he felt some ripple. Like someone was calling out to him; and the next? It felt like his body was hurtling through space. It was a sickening fast paced experience that could only have one explanation- witchcraft. He'd heard of demons being summoned before, but it was such a rare occurrence that he'd thought it'd been lies. Anyway, one moment he was in his own plane, doing what he'd been created to do; and the next he was transported to a clearing. It was empty, save for a few candles, but he could feel a pull in his head. Like every instinct was screaming at him to move. Find the one who summoned him. The connection was there, he was sure of it but it was faint.

The demon paused, drinking in the lush surroundings. Pine instead of sulfur greeted his nose. Instead of the rocky, barren soil of his plane, his feet were tickled by blades of soft grass. Yes, this was different than hell in every aspect. Ancient power of this town was palpable, and his mossy colored gaze took in the clearing with the sense of a newborn. Finally when he felt sated with his surroundings, he began to move. At first it was an aimless motion, taking in everything with a child-like wonder. His wanderings eventually led him to the clearing thinning out, giving way to a yard. The connection, that pull he first felt when transported here became stronger, much, much stronger. As if in a trance the demon felt himself drawn to the home. The door was unlocked so he let himself in. The lights were out, save for one at the top of the stairs. Curiously he crept up the stairs, towards the light. It felt like this was the place he was supposed to be.

Quietly, he reached out turning the knob and opening the door. There on a bed was a girl, staring out the window. It was like he could feel her unease. It then clicked to the demon. This was his summoner. When he opened the door, the girl turned her face paling visibly. Hurriedly she scrambled to her feet, and it was then he noted the bandage on her hand. Before she could scream, or do some other irritating human thing he spoke. "You? You summoned me? For what purpose did you have of doing such a thing? Though... I suppose I should thank you. Hell is boring." As he spoke he could feel his eyes flashing black, their true nature as he spoke languidly and quietly his brows knitted together. "So, tell me little witch, do you have a name? I suppose you can call me..." He paused fumbling around for a name. His was difficult to pronounce, and if he was going to be on earth he may as well have a new name. "Matthew Essex. You can call me Matthew Essex- at your service."

Shay smirked when the girl responded, "Actually its very obvious." He said, "Whats even more obvious is the fear i can smell off of you." He told her as he walked around the rack they were standing at. It was uncommon for werecats to linger around this town. He honestly had never seen one up close, or at all for the matter. He had only heard stories about them. "Why is your clan here? Don't tell me there isn't more of you because i can smell their filthy feline scent on you." He said. He wasn't going to let a clan of werecats take over his town. His pack had worked so hard to take over it. They had pushed the vampires into the shadows and the coven of witches tended to keep to themselves.

Shay looked her over for a moment, she was small, but that meant nothing about her supernatural strength. "Tell me what has you so interested in this little town?" He asked. "It certainly isn't the scenery." He informed her. Shay stepped back and crossed his arms. Something inside him really had him worried about this new clan. Shay knew that his pack was not going to be happy at all. Shay sighed as he stepped towards her again, looking down at her.
Kat jumped when she saw someone come into her room. It was only after he smiled a demonic smile that she knew it was the demon they summoned. "Holy shit." She breathed. She couldn't believe it had actually worked. She looked at him, then moved around him and shut her door, locking it. "My name is Kat." She replied. She stepped towards him, showing nothing but curiosity. Kat whispered his demon name, having studied how to pronounce it. She was amazed he had found her. "My coven summoned you. My blood is the only one strong enough to make the spell work." She explained. Kat thought for a moment, "We need your help. This town is being over run by supernatural creatures that are trying to kill off our coven." She said. She knew he was dangerous so she tried to not say anything to anger him. She sat on her bed, looking up at him, "I can't believe you actually came here." She whispered.

Kat had mess with black magic since she was a younger. She always hid it from her grandmother knowing it would anger the woman. She never thought she would actually have the power to summon a demon. She looked over him, then back at him. He was gorgeous. She was expecting him to be hideous but she was wrong. Kat bit her bottom lip lightly as she watched him.

    Lyla Silvermen | Werecat

She couldn't help the disbelieving scoff that bubbled past her lips at this wolf's audacity. "I'm not scared!" Lyla protested, her eyes narrowing. That was a lie, but she wasn't about to let this wolf try to bully her in the middle of town. "Why is your clan here? Don't tell me there isn't more of you because I can smell their filthy feline scent on you." Oh, if she was offended before, she was now rather cross. Her fear began to subside into annoyance. "Stench? You smell like a wet dog. Tell me how that's anymore appealing? As for my clan, that's none of your business. " Narrowing her eyes, reminding herself not to lose her temper the werecat turned back to the items pretending to continue to look them over. Hopefully this male would just get bored and take off, territorial sod. "Tell me what has you so interested in this little town?" As he spoke he crossed his arms taking a step back and leering down at her.

Her nose scrunched with irritation as she exhaled under her breath- rather secretly relieved that he had backed off. She wasn't about to tell him they were driven out of their old town. Fucking hunters. But this was the last place they'd look, in a sleepy town co-inhabited. Werecats were notorious for enjoying pieces of territory to themselves. They weren't exactly renowned for sharing. "Oh, it absolutely is the the scenery. So quaint." She didn't think the wolves would just sit back on their heels if they knew her clan was weak from the hunters. God that had been a horrible night. Shivering at the memory she didn't notice he'd stepped back until his shadow fell across Lyla's form once again. In response she backed up, her back colliding with the wall as she glared up at him. She really didn't want to fight, and Lyla was really cursing herself for not listening to her mother and father to stay home. Or at least go out in pairs. "If you lay one finger on me my clan's going to be really unhappy." She blurted out, a shiver rushing up her spine.

She really didn't want to be dog chow. If the stony expression he was giving her was anything to go by- this male didn't believe her reason; not that it was that convincing. Her delicate ears picked up that his heartbeat was strong and steady; not the least bit afraid of her. Which okay maybe that only offended her more. Rather literally backed against a wall Lyla decided that she may as well attempt diplomacy. "Look, I think we started off wrong okay? I'm Lyla. My clan is here for some personal reasons, which are private. But- we don't really want to fight with anyone. We're aware of the witches. As the next Diente of my clan, you have my word that we don't want to fight okay? We're just trying to live peacefully." She didn't know if he believed her, but a little bit of honesty on her part probably wouldn't hurt this situation. If any of the employees noted the situation she was in; no one intervened. If worse came to worse, she was pretty sure her shift could overpower a single wolf and make a run for it. But could she do it without exposing herself and her people? Probably not.

It was almost amusing to watch the shock on her face. The way her eyes lingered and gazed upon him; made Matthew feel almost smug. "My coven summoned you. My blood is the only one strong enough to make the spell work. We need your help. This town is being over run by supernatural creatures that are trying to kill off our coven." Normally he wouldn't care less. What Matthew wanted to do was explore the human world. What were they like? Still the greedy pile of sinful flesh that he'd overheard other upper-rank demons talking about? Oh, he hoped so. It was so much more fun that way. Matt didn't answer at first instead he gazed about her room taking it in. He couldn't really tell if it was normal or not, as this was the only room here he'd ever seen. Oh and food- he was excited to try out the human's food. "And I suppose you intend on using me to destroy them all?"

He really didn't have a choice. The blood she used to summon him binded Matthew to her, like a tether. Her wish, was his command; and there wasn't a thing he could do. The blood protected her from him as well. Which meant this little witch was off limits for him. "Go on then, tell me more. What supernatural creatures exactly are we talking about?" Turning back he realized again she was staring. Her bottom lip was caught between her teeth; and it was almost distracting for Matthew. A creature who delighted in brutality was certainly not use to being around the company of a woman this exquisite looking. Take it from him, the women in hell weren't exactly known for their beauty. He moved further into the room, closing the door behind him as he sensed the presence of another. Her lifeforce was old, elderly so he assumed it wouldn't be hard to extinguish it should she cause a ruckus.

Sitting on the bed, without really asking for her permission. The softness startled him, and Matthew nearly gasped with awe. However, he had a reputation to uphold. This witch... Kat he supposed her name was, likely thought of him as something evil. A tool of rabid retribution, though not the divine kind. He wasn't really ready to let her think anything differently of him. He managed to keep his stoic face as she went onto explain what exactly was going on. The relations with the other supernaturals in this... community. Which ones were the most important for him to... Extinguish. It certainly sounded like he had his work cut out for him; which was thrilling. It had been such a long time since he'd gotten to do anything other than torture tormented souls on the rack; and his life was in sore need for a change.

Shay watched her closely, frowning when she said they didn't want to have any issues. "You know a lot of people say that, but they always end up causing issue." He said as he stepped back. "I will have my pack leader find yours it's only right that they meet." He said. Shay was to bed the next Alpha, but he had a long way to go. "I'll see you around kitty cat." He teased as he stepped away and started to walk out of the store. He had to meet up with his pack to go hunting. He couldn't wait to give them the news about a new creature.

Shay stepped onto the street, smiling as he inhaled the air. He caught whiff of his pack and took off. His packed hunted for food, but they also hunted the hunters. They didn't want anyone to step out of line. Shay shifted to his wolf form and started through the woods. He couldn't wait til he dealt with the werecats with the rest of his pack. He knew by himself they could take him, but not as a pack.

Shay walked through the town the next morning with his friends, looking around. Something wasn't right about the town. A new power was there and it worried him. Shay wondered if the werecats brought it with them. He smirked when he saw one of their kind again. It was a little boy. He moved over to the boy and stopped him, "Hey where's your friends?" He asked as they surrounded him, "Shouldn't go out alone." He said as he flashed his wolf eyes.
Kat watched as he sat next to her on the bed, "It's mostly the werewolves and vampires. They are constantly fighting with each other and they expect us to do their bidding for them. They have no idea what we are capable of and i want them to know i can wipe them off this earth if i really wanted to." She said as she looked at him. He was so calm and she loved it. He wasn't as awful as she expected him to be. "Can you help me?" She asked as she scooted closer to him. She looked at the time, "I can take you to the coven tomorrow to meet them." She said. Kat looked at him and wondered what kind of power source he was. She reached her hand out, touching his arm. She gasped as the blackness crept into her eyes and she saw everything he had scene in the past. She pulled away, looking at him as she breathed heavily.

Kat scooted back towards her pillow, "I need to get some sleep tonight though." She said as she got underneath of the blanket. "Do you mind?" She asked. She honestly didn't want to be rude. Half of her wanted to keep talking to him about everything, but the other half needed to get some rest for the next day. She laid back, closing her eyes. She woke up the next day and got out of bed, seeing he was still there. "Morning." She said as she began to get dressed. "We have to go meet Cynthia." She said. She turned to him and watched him for a moment, "Perhaps we can get you some clothes too." She said.

    Lyla Silvermen | Werecat

"You know, a lot of people say that, but they always end up catching issue." He stepped back again and the breath she hadn't been aware she was holding was exhaled through her nose with relief. "I will have my pack leader find yours. It's only right that they meet." An ominous shiver ran up her spine. She'd been hoping to avoid something like this. Her Clan detested wolves, though logically she knew that because of their presence hunters wouldn't think to look for them here. "Fine. We'll be happy to talk to your leader." Lyla gritted out. She wasn't sure if this was a threat, a warning ,or him simply refusing to believe that her Clan wanted to steer very clear of werewolves. For eternity if they could manage. "See you around, Kitty Cat." The wolf bade turning, a teasing note in his voice. Lyla's scowled at his retreating back. If the wolves came to attack as a pack- well that would spell trouble for her small Clan. Her Clan was mostly made up of family, her parents, aunt and uncle, and their two kids. Not exactly a fighting brigade. No, the hunters had killed the other members. The memory of searing flesh, fire and gold-tipped weapons sent a shiver up Lyla's spine.

Never again would her Clan face something like that- she would do her damned best to make sure. Even if that meant making peace with the wolves in this town. Brow furrowed in worry, Lyla made her way out of the store. She needed to get home, warn her parents about what had just transpired. They were going to be angry, and Lyla was going to have to do her best to convince them that the Clan wasn't in danger. That this wolf hadn't put her in any physical danger. The walk back was bleak, the skies were dark and by the time she managed to find her way home, a light rain had begun to fall. Needless to say Lyla Silvermen was rather cross by the time she yanked the door open, storming into the spacious home and kicking her shoes off. "Lyla Silvermen! Where in God's name have you been?!" Almost at once her mother's voice shrilled from the kitchen. Mutely she made her way down the hall to the kitchen where boxes were still sitting. Her mother was unpacking the fine China, while her father helped. The moment she walked into the room his nose flared. "Lyla... Is that a wolf I smell on you?! Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Tomlin Silvermen hurried over to his daughter, examining her for bites or scratches. The young woman held still as she did so and shook her head.

"No. I ran into a wolf today. We talked. I think his pack is going to come over for a chat. He wasn't exactly specific though."Tomlin's eyes flashed amber as if this were a personal offense to all werecats. "Cowardly mutts. Scaring an unprotected woman." It wasn't exactly like that, though before she could protest her mother heaved a sigh. "We knew this would happen. And this is why I told you not to leave the yard." Her mother was not pleased and Lyla winced as she continued on. "Tomlin, call your sister. Tell her the situation. Lyla- go to bed. We'll deal with all this in the morning." There was little room for argument so she nodded, and turned up the stairs. Her room was only half-unpacked, her mattress on the floor. Shedding off her clothes, leaving herself in her under-garments, Lyla crawled into bed. It wasn't long before she drifted off; her mind plagued by fears of being driven out. Of more death falling to the Clan she was supposed to inherit. When she did sleep, in her dreams she saw flames, snapping teeth, and heard the cries of her kin. When Lyla awoke, it was in a cold sweat. For the next three days she absolutely tortured herself of when the wolves would come. For three days she helped unpacked, her ears alert for the doorbell. For three days it never came. Her days came and went with no disturbance from the outside world.

No witches or covens, or wolf with pack. It was midday of the fourth day since her encounter with the absolutely not attractive irritating blue-eyed wolf, with still nothing. Lyla was enjoying the freshly set up television, when she heard three, crisp knocks. Almost immediately she darted into an upright position. Before she could so much as react, her mother appeared from the other room walking briskly towards the door. Scrambling to her feet, she made it to the main hallway as it opened. Before her was an unfamiliar man, with what looked like his wife; and it was when her gaze fell on a familiar blue-eyed werewolf did Lyla's breath catch. Before anyone could say anything the graying male cleared his throat, "I think our families should talk." Family? Her gaze slid once again to the blue-eyed wolf, who was scarcely concealing a smirk. Her mother took a beat to answer, before stepping aside. "Of course. This is my daughter Lyla, my husband Tomlin is around somewhere... Excuse the mess, we're just unpacking." Her mother spoke as she hurried to the living room, probably the cleanest part of the house. God she just hoped they were really here to talk, and not to threaten them out of this town- because that wouldn't be happening anytime soon.

"It's mostly the werewolves and vampires. They are constantly fighting with each other and they expect us to do their bidding for them. They have no idea what we are capable of and i want them to know i can wipe them off this earth if i really wanted to." A tool to assert her dominance in the supernatural world? He supposed there were worse things that he could be used for. "Well, your wish is my command Kat. Say the words, and I'll happily.... Thin out the packs. No supernatural creature will take you for granted again." Matthew promised, his dark eyes glinting with amusement and excitement. Oh gods it'd been a long time since he had the thrill of a good kill. The rack was repetitive work, and he needed some change in his life. Hopefully if Matthew did a good job, he could convince Kat not to send him back to hell when she was done using him. As he sat on her bed a plan began forming in his head. He did not want to go back. And if she so desired, she could let him stay on this plane.

This plane that was infinitely better than the one he'd come from. There was so much to learn here, so much mischief to cause- Matt would hate to go back now. "I can take you to the coven tomorrow to meet them." She spoke shaking him from his plans and he shrugged. Today, tomorrow- next week; made no difference to him. Matthew just wanted to get his task done and hopefully have some fun on Earth. He wasn't expecting it when she reached out, grasping his arm. At once it felt like air was rushing through his skin and Matt couldn't help the shocked little gasp. If he wasn't trying to get onto her good side, he'd wrench himself out of her grip. However, he needed to convince Kat to let him stay. So he let her do whatever witchcraft she was doing now. By the time Kat pulled away she was breathing heavily, eyeing him oddly. What had happened? He had felt her rush of power, but didn't know what exactly had happened and he felt like maybe he shouldn't ask. As long as she wasn't doing weird voodoo to him- it didn't matter.

"I need to get some sleep tonight though." She stated and he nodded. What exactly was he supposed to do with himself? "Do you mind?" Apparently he would be finding another place to be. "Sure. See you 'round." Matt said as he got to his feet, heading towards the door. If there was an attack here he could at least familiarize himself with the house. For the next three hours Matt quietly poked around the house. It wasn't anything super impressive, though by the time he wandered into the living room; and laid down on the couch he quickly fell asleep. Sleep was a new thing for him. On the other plane he didn't need sleep, it appeared it was different here. Interesting. How long he slept, Matthew wasn't sure. But by the time he woke the house was still and quiet, the sun shining through the windows. There wasn't really anything else to do than go and find Kat. Yawning, stretching he got to his feet retracing his steps until he found her room.

She was still sleeping, but stirring so figuring she was close to waking, he shut the door rather loudly. In response her head shot up, eyes fluttering about until she noted him. "Morning." As she spoke she swung herself out of bed, beginning to get dressed. Out of respect he glanced to the floor. "We have to go meet Cynthia." Pause. Then, "Perhaps we can get you some clothes too." Glancing down at himself he nodded. "That'd be appreciated. Now, your coven knows you summoned me correct? I do not wish to go and be banished back to hell. It's an unpleasant way to go. Painful. And I've only just begun to get the stench of sulfur and other... unpleasant things out of my nose." To be fair, witches kind of scared him. Maybe the supernaturals in this community didn't respect them- but Matthew knew what they were capable of and he knew they were to be given respect at all times. Best not to get on one's shit list either.

Shay stood at the door with his parents and looked at the girl he had seen nights before. He looked over as his dad spoke, No need to clean up for us Shay stepped inside with his father and looked around. He knew his dad would want to speak to them. Shay looked at Lyla, then his eyes ghosted down her body. She was very attractive he had to admit that. Shay crossed his arms as he waited for the Tomlin to come into the room. He stood near his mother as his dad started to speak. We like to believe that you guys are going to be no danger to our pack. I'm a peace keeper as long as nobody harms my blood. We have fought too hard to gain control of this town and i won't have it ruined He spoke calmly and assertively. Shay had always loved that about his dad. He could never raise his voice, but yet he would be intimidating.

We have reason to believe that the witches are cooking something up. Though we aren't concerned about them because we did away with their most powerful witch years ago. Can i have your word you won't disturb the peace we have over this land? His father as Tomlin. Shay's eyes watched everyone around them, making sure nobody made a move. Shay had always been protective of his pack. It was instinct to him because he would one day be in charge. Shay looked at Lyla, trying to read her the best he could. She seemed innocent but he wasn't so sure about that.
Kat looked at him, "Of course they know. Cynthia did the spell with him. She's the one who suggested we summon you." She said as she stepped towards him. "Why would we banish the one thing that is going to help us take control again?" She asked. She smiled, "Come with me." She said after she put her necklace on. She walked with him out of the house then down the street. She stopped at one of the stores so they could get him some decent clothes. Kat walked out of the shop with him then headed to the covens building. She walked inside with him, looking around. "Cynthia!" She called. She looked up, seeing the lady looking at them in awe. My god he is magnificent. Cynthia said as she walked down the stairs. I must tell you he is more amazing than anything your mother ever conjured up. Kat frowned when the lady brought up her mother.

Her mother had been one of the most powerful witches in the town and had died a horrible death. She conjured many demons and sucked the souls from countless people. Kat crossed her arms, leaning to one side. "I say we send the wolves packing now." She said, smirking. She looked over when there was a knock on the door. She inhaled, knowing it was a wolf. "Speaking of wolves." She said as she walked to the door. She opened it, seeing a man from the pack. She frowned when he pushed his way in, demanding they help him. "We aren't helping you filthy mutts anymore!" She snapped. She frowned when he approached her quickly. "I wouldn't." She said as he raised his hand to her. "Go ahead Matthew get rid of him." She told him, her eyes going black from the dark magic she had inside of her.

    Lyla Silvermen | Werecat

The tension in the beginning was thick and almost a tangible thing in the room; however towards the end of the wolf's speech it had lessened. She leaned against the loveseat which her parents were seated on as the pack was seated on their couch. It was going to take days for their scent to fade off. Her parents while seeming rather on edge- were calm. They weren't accusing them of harassing her which Lyla had been a little worried her dad was going to do. Rather they sat, Tomlin holding her mother Ava's hand as the wolves spoke. "We like to believe that you guys are going to be no danger to our pack. I'm a peace keeper as long as nobody harms my blood. We have fought too hard to gain control of this town and i won't have it ruined." When the male spoke, his voice was sure and confident. He wasn't yelling, but there was a note of firmness that even Lyla begrudgingly respected. The way he held himself, spoke to him being a good, rational leader. "We have reason to believe that the witches are cooking something up. Though we aren't concerned about them because we did away with their most powerful witch years ago. Can i have your word you won't disturb the peace we have over this land?" It was at this Lyla had stiffened. The witches were on the warpath? Hunters, and now them? Hopefully her Clan could just stay out of it.

She didn't dare speak, while she was to be the next Diente, her mother was the current one and she was the one who made the decisions. Hopefully she could realize this was a good offer. Ava and Tomlin exchange weary glances before her mother sighed. "Honestly speaking... It's just our immediate family here. When our daughter told your son that we didn't want trouble- she meant it. All I care about is keeping my family safe; just as you wish to keep your's safe. There'll be no trouble from us." That was a little more information than Lyla would of given- but she could see why her mother was being so honest. It would be good to have strong relations between the two families now. "Though... If I may ask, what exactly do you mean, the witches are cooking something up?" Ava carefully avoided asking what exactly the alpha meant when he said they'd done away with a powerful witch. Though Lyla bet she could guess what that meant. Had they moved from one supernatural war zone into another one? God she hoped not. All she wanted to do was finish her junior year, and have some forest to shift freely. Chase down some dear, do... Werecat things. The only thing Lyla knew was she was tired of living in fear. She was sick of waking up and wondering if there were hunters watching them.

Or she supposed now if the witches were going to set their wroth on her small clan. She merely hoped by the time she was of age- there would be a clan left to inherit. Suddenly feeling ill she shook her head, moving towards the doorway. "Excuse me." She muttered. Through the clan-bonds Lyla felt her parents concern; though they made no move to go after her. They had to continue talking with the wolves, trying to convince them that they meant no harm. Making her way to the kitchen she poured herself a glass of water, sipping at it with a vacant stare. Why was all this trouble falling onto them? Hearing footsteps she expected her father, or mother but rather a familial blue-eye wolf stood in the doorway. She would of snapped at him, but that would be a poor start for peace. Rather she sullenly took a large sip of water. She needed to get out of the house... And that's when it occurred to her. Wolf-boy likely knew the area, and if she wanted to go explore the woods having him as a guide would probably guarantee she wouldn't get lost. Or caught off guard by a witch. "Hey, Wolf-Boy feel like exploring the forest with me? It's been ages since I got a good shift in." The tiger under her skin was practically begging to come out, and the day was bright and sunny- a good day for exploring in the woods.

Matthew felt himself relax as she promised the rest of her coven knew about him. And as of now they were not going to banish him. Ambition that ran chills up his spine shone in Kat's hazel gaze, and he couldn't help the smirk on his lips. If someone was going to summon and control him; he couldn't imagine a better witch to do so. He was practically vibrating with excitement as she finished getting ready, leading him out of the house. Overhead the harsh sunlight shone down on them and he smiled languidly as the rays warmed his skin. Their morning was busy. The walk downtown was pretty much just him listening to Kat as she explained how this all started, which side was more obnoxious- which apparently were the wolves. Pity for them as he'd be whipping them into shapes. They were no longer to be the alpha of this town- their new alpha were going to be the witches. Their first stop was the clothing store, replacing the dirty looking rags he'd been transported in for something nicer. Jeans that showed off his figure rather nicely, a men's tank-top patterned with black and white stripes, with a quarter-sleeve jean jacket and sunglasses. Checking himself out in the dingy mirror deciding this would do very nicely he watched as Kat did something up front before leaving.

The human world was wonderful. God be damned- he was never going back to hell if he had his way. Matthew's spirits were quite high as they reached their destination. The coven's building. Matthew could feel the power brewing within it's walls. It made him somewhat queasy. At least he was on their side. The second they were through the door Kat wasted no time in calling out, "Cynthia!" Almost at once a middle aged woman made her way towards him and Kat. Matthew had to fight the urge to stand protectively in front of Kat. At once the older witch's gaze raked over him. "My god he is magnificent. I must tell you he is more amazing than anything your mother ever conjured up."Okay, maybe Matt's ego was inflated just a liittlleee bit from this compliment. "You're not nothing either." The compliment came naturally to him as his eye gleamed devilishly. The compliment was designed to remain in the witch's good graces. Before this Cynthia could respond, not that he was all that interested in what she had to say, the doors were flung open.

At once the stench of dog invaded his delicate senses and Matt narrowed his eyes with annoyance. He was babbling that the witches had to help them, and thankfully Kat seemed to share his irritation. "We aren't helping you filthy mutts anymore!" As if enraged by this the male stomped forward, and Matthew narrowed his eyes. He was too close to Kat for his liking. "Go ahead Matthew get rid of him." A ferocious smile tainted his lips as he stepped forward, black sliding across his eyes like a layer of ink. He didn't say anything as he moved quicker than anyone had expected, hand firmly wrapping about the wolf's throat before tossing him as if he were a pile of straw. Several bones cracked and groaned when he hit the opposite wall. Matthew wasn't done yet. Raising his hand, lifting the male up into the air he imagined invisible hands choking the male. Soon enough the wolf was gagging, red in the face. It was when his lips were turning purple did Matthew release him; dropping the mutt to the floor in a heap. He lay gasping, choking, spluttering. Calmly he stated, "Get out of my sight. And make sure to tell your pack the witches have officially withdrawn their support." The display of his demonic abilities hadn't even left him in a light sweat as the wolf scrambled out the door rather quickly.

Shay looked at Lyla when she asked him to show her around, "Sure thing." He said as he walked with her. He walked out of the house with her then looked around. "Let's go this way." He said, leading her to the woods. Shay shifted into his wolf form, stretching his legs, looking at Lyla as she changed. Shay walked ahead of her, his paw bigger than most werewolves. He took off running, knowing she would follow him. Shay worked his way up the mountain, stopping on a rock. He looked down at her, waiting for her to catch up.

He ran til he came to his territory, stopping when he saw one of his friends staggering through the woods. Shay turned back to his normal form and changed into his clothes he left in the tree he was at. Shay looked back at Lyla, throwing some clothes at her. "Mikey what's wrong?" He asked. Mikey looked at him, The....the witches. They have....this thing he said as he showed him the burn marks on his neck. A demon. They aren't working for us anymore Shay. He explained, looking at Lyla.

Shay frowned, "What? How they hell did they get a demon?" He asked, not expecting an answer. He sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck. "We can't afford them to gain power again. It will be a horrible death for all of us." He said as he crossed his arms. He knew they wanted revenge. He looked at Lyla, "Watch your back." He told her as he walked to her. He knew the witches would come for them too.
Kat smiled as she watched him, "That was great." She said as she walked over to him. She hugged him, suddenly feeling all the anger inside of him. She saw visions of everything he did in hell. Kat stepped back, looking at him. He was dark and she fed off of it. "Let me show you around." She said. She walked with him through the giant building. "I wonder if they will send any of their wolf friends." She said, smiling. Kat walked into the room where they had some plants. She looked around as they all instantly withered in her presence. She looked at him, "Sometimes i can't control it." She admitted to him as she walked into the room, shutting them inside. "This darkness is too much sometimes." She said as she walked towards him.

Kat sat down in the one chair, "Thank you for helping me earlier." She said as she held one of the dead roses in her hand. She brought it back to life, then looked at him. "This town is so out of control lately." She explained to him. Kat looked around the room. "Cynthia thinks she has it all under control, but she really doesn't know what she's doing." She said.

    Lyla Silvermen | Werecat

Lyla's lips turned upwards in a faint smile. A run outside would do her good; with the threat of witches, escaping hunters- everything felt like too much. Time in her tigress form would be do her brain good. Give her a sense of clear-headedness that she needed. She followed Shay to the door, though paused at the living room where her parents were in deep conversation with Shay's. They seemed to be getting along though Ava paused when she noted her daughter in the doorway. "Shay is going to show me around the forest. Okay?" The wolf's mother smiled her dark depths delighted. "That's a wonderful idea. Have fun you two." Lyla's gaze slid to her own mother, who gave a small nod of approval. "Stick together and be back before dinner." Nodding, promising she would, Lyla nodded promising she would be. With that she hurried out the door, jogging to catch up to Shay. He glanced over his shoulder, a lazy smile touching on his lips. "Let's go this way." He directed veering sharply to the left.

Her home was right on the edge of the forest, the thick trees practically grew to meet the home, so hopefully she wouldn't get lost if she just stuck around here. She followed him the scent of pine and ceder, blowing about them from the trees. God she always loved thick forests like this. Already Lyla could tell there was going to be a lot of space to run around; and her clan as long as they didn't get dragged into any supernatural wars, were going to be happy here. This she was determined of. She'd caught up to Shay just as he began to shift. Averting her eyes the brunette gathered her nerves before shucking off her clothes. No use in ripping them and ruining them. She closed her dark, hazel orbs; calling forth the beast beneath her skin. The thing that slumbered between each heartbeat. Her transformation was quick, and relatively painless. Within minutes, a deadly graceful tiger stood in the place of Lyla's human form. It's paws were large, equipped with deadly venom laced claws as all werecats possessed. Her fur was a rich orange with a juxtapose of black stripes; while her face also bore white markings. The back of each ear had a white dot and the thing that stood out were it's luminous green eyes.

Her long sleek tail whipped side to side as she got used to her new center of gravity. Once she was almost ready Shay, a beautiful white wolf, larger than most threw her a glance before taking off into the woods. It was an invitation to follow; and she accepted it. Almost silently she darted after him. The unfamiliar growth and brush slowed her down time to time, but whenever she thought she'd lost her way- Lyla would catch a flash of white and she'd charge after him. Their run led well into the wolves' territory and she couldn't help but be impressed. It was beautiful, just enough forest that eventually gave 'way to rocky soil, and a cliff that was just right for sunbathing. She was about to find a good spot to make herself comfortable, maybe see if she could track down something to chase when Lyla's delicate ear's picked up on crashing, staggering footsteps. Shit! If there was a human and it saw her? That could spell trouble- tigers weren't exactly native to this region.

Her fears were assuaged when a wolf in human form approached them. Her sharp eyes could pick out the nasty burns around his neck, and by the way he was walking likely had a concussion. Immediately Shay shifted into his human form, rustling up some clothes from a nearby tree. Unsure of what to do she was about to remain in her form until Shay threw a pair of clothes at her. Men's sweatpants and a tanktop. They'd do. Gently picking them up in her mouth Lyla padded a little further into the treeline to change. When that was done she carefully picked her way back to where the males were, picking up their conversation. The....the witches. They have....this thing. A demon. They aren't working for us anymore Shay." She'd been leaning against a tree, the bark pressing into her flesh. They weren't working for the wolves? "We can't afford them to gain power again. It will be a horrible death for all of us." For all of the pack? Or anything that wasn't a witch? "Here, let me see." Speaking for the first time she approached the wounded wolf.

Hesitantly he looked towards Shay who nodded. The burn marks around his neck were purple and angry, blistered. He'd probably need ice packs at the very least for that. He was in rough shape but would be okay, and able to make it back to wherever it was he called home. She didn't notice Shay stepping closer to her until his shadow fell across her back. "Watch your back." Turning brows furrowed Lyla shook her head. "Nu-uh. No way cowboy. Whatever's going on? We just want to stay out of it. They're Germany and you're America. Us cats? We're Switzerland. Neeuuutraaall." She dragged out the word neutral sharply. "We've already lost too much fighting our own battles- and we haven't done anything to the witches. What even makes you so sure they're going to come after us?"

"That was great!" Before Matthew could open his mouth, Kat had flung her arms around his neck. Normal humans saw what he could do and took off with piss dribbling down their legs. Kat? She hugged him for it. What an odd little creature, how amusing. Mindlessly his own hands moved to wrap her in a firm embrace. "Stay on her good side. Convince her not to banish you when you've served your purpose." His brain whispered. Suddenly and all at once she let go of him; just as that familiar rush of power thrummed in her head. She eyed him oddly, though shook it off quickly. What the hell was she doing when that happened? Reading his mind? Oh, he hoped not. "Let me show you around." The offer was quick and he nodded silently. The building was big. Bigger than he'd expected and he'd have to admit- the witches had a pretty nice setup here. They had almost everything a witch could ever want or need.

A room which held alchemy like ingredients, tables that had goblets holding crystals. Spell books lying about- well just about anything you could envision. The tour ended in a room filled with plants; though the second that Kat stepped foot into the room they began to wither. He'd be damned. So much darkness, so much power hidden inside her tiny body. Well, color Matthew impressed. She seemed less so. "Sometimes i can't control it." He said nothing as she shut the door behind her, walking to a chair and slumping down into it, a rose between her fingers. Gradually the wither began to fade, and a vibrant red began to bleed back into the petals. "This darkness is too much sometimes." A positively beastly smile etched onto his lips. Striding forward he knelt in front of her as she sat in the chair, his head tilted up as he held her gaze.

"Oh, Kat you got it wrong." He purred. "The more you try to control darkness, the more you lose yourself in it. Besides, I often find control overrated." Matthew looked positively devilish as his gaze drifted to the flower. "And for what's coming? You and I are going to need all that darkness to flay those mutts alive. And anyone who stands beside them." There was a sinister gleam embedded in his black gaze, which revealed his true nature as he stared up at her; in some sort of twisted adoring manner. Oh, it was going to be so much fun with this witch. It'd been ages since he'd been summoned, and an even longer time since someone who was worthy of summoning him did so. He had his doubts about her at first, but he was growing more confident that she was worthy. "Thank you for helping me earlier." He blinked as she spoke, the black receding from his gaze leaving a piercing blue. The rougish light in his eyes died down to somethig surprised, something... warm.

Thanking him for doing his job? At least she was someone who didn't see him as a prized hog as Cynthia had. "It's my job. Your blood links me to you. I'll fight for your cause, fall on your enemies claws for you, and do my best to drag as many to hell as I can. When I've done that- then you may thank me." He stated, getting back up to his feet and brushing his knees off. "This town is so outta control lately." A short pause and then, "Cynthia thinks she has it all under control, but she really doesn't know what she's doing." At this Matthew perked up. "If Cynthia is a problem, say the word and I will take care of her. If she's a weak leader, well that's worse than being no leader at all." He offered, in his smooth, rich tone.

Shay looked at her, "Look if the witches are on a vengeance then they are gonna go after you and your family. He hated that the witches were cooking something up. He crossed his arms, "Why would Cynthia suddenly come after us?" He asked. The injured wolf looked at him, "A younger witch was controlling the demon. She couldn't have been too much older than us." HE explained. Shay frowned, "I should let my dad know about this. He will be able to reason with them." He told them. He knew that his dad would know what to do. "Go ahead and make the pack away i will take Lyla home." He instructed. He walked with her, taking her back to her house.

Shay walked inside going over to his dad and telling him what was going on. I will go talk to Cynthia tonight Shay sighed when his dad said he was going to go talk to him. It seemed dangerous to go on their turf. "What if we meet them somewhere instead? I don't think we should approach them in their home." He said. Shay's dad agreed and decided to meet them in the woods. He told his wife to contact Cynthia. Shay looked at Lyla, then looked back at his parents. He knew that they had to keep them out of this battle. It certainly wasn't theres to fight.
Kat smiled when he knelt down in front of her, "I just feel like i'm in farther than i want to be." She said. She watched as he stood up, "No you can leave her alone for now. We will deal with her when it is necessary. She frowned when Cynthia walked in. The wolves want to meet tonight She explained. Kat stood up, "Well then we will meet with them." She said as she stood behind Matthew. She felt very safe having him around. Kat walked to the room she had there and got dressed. She walked out and looked outside as the sun began to set. "Let's go." She said. She walked through the woods to meet the wolves the wind beginning to whip through the trees as she walked.

Kat stopped when she saw the wolves and crossed her arms as she stared at them. She looked over as Cynthia talked, We are done serving you mutts Kat watched all of them waiting for them to make a move. She looked at Matthew out of the corner of her eye. She planned to stay out of the way for now unless she was needed for back up. Cynthia had always been the talker.

    Lyla Silvermen | Werecat

Lyla was utterly unsettled. She had known a witch or two in her lifetime, but had never been on her shit-list. She knew how dangerous witches could be; and she didn't want her clan to get caught up in another's war. But on the way back, she couldn't help but steal glances out of the corner of her eye towards Shay. He looked panicked, upset, angry; and as much as she found him irritating at times, she didn't like to see him like this. "If the witches are on a vengeance then they are gonna go after you, and your family." His words echoed around her head as they began their silent trek back to her new home. If this was true, wouldn't it make sense to join the wolves in their crusade to either make peace or destroy the witches? But a demon? Could her few clan members take on a demon? Could she take that risk? It was really just her family left. But if the witches were on the warpath, and went after the wolves and they were wiped out- who would be left to help the cats? They would either parish or have to run again- and she didn't want to put the Clan through that again.

They were nearly to the house when she jogged a few steps, catching up to Shay and bumping him with her hip. "Hey, it's going to be okay. I'll help you figure something out." The offer was impulsive, but honest. So okay, maybe Lyla was less Switzerland than she thought, and maybe Britain- but what else could she do? If there were going to be a supernatural war, she may as well join the side of the were's. She was quiet as they reached the house, and together they made their way indoors. Their parents were both still talking in hushed voices, though they abruptly stopped when the two heirs walked into the living room. Ava looked concerned at the shadow on her daughter's face, and said nothing when she noted the leaves and twigs in her hair from the run. Shay wasted no time in explaining the situation which was good. They probably didn't have much time. "I will go talk to Cynthia tonight."The statement was made only a few moments after the spruce-eyed wolf had finished explaining what was going on. "My daughter and I will accompany you. I think it would be best for everyone's interest."

Ava spoke, in a firm unrelenting tone. A voice that had an undeniable authority to it. "If the witches wrath extends to all species that are not witches, it would be a wise idea to secure an alliance between our species now rather than later." There was a pause as she added in a somber tone, "We wouldn't want to get caught off guard." Lyla whipped her head around, her eyes wide with question to her mother. It had always been Ava's policy to only interfere in things if it affected the kin. This seemed a little too preemptive to Lyla. "You would come along?" Shay's mother spoke, her voice soft and sweet. For wolves, they were beginning to grow on Lyla. Looking towards Shay she couldn't help the small smile tugging at her lips. "Yeah. We would. Were's should stick together right?" If the witches wanted a war, they'd have one regardless if the cat's wanted nothing to do with it. So they may as well secure an ally now before any bloodshed. Hopefully tonight they could avoid a war, but there was an ominous feeling in the pit of the brunette's stomach. "Then we'll see you tonight. Thank you." Shay's father spoke, rising to his feet. After few goodbyes, the wolves were gone, leaving the Silvermen family with one question- had they jumped out of the fire and into the frying pan?

A somber heaviness fell over them for the rest of the day, with Tomlin going to his sister's to explain the situation. When it began to get dark Lyla began to get dressed. She was had been scrolling through her phone when her mother knocked on the door letting Lyla know that it was time. Tomlin saw them off at the door, giving his wife a silent worried look, and his daughter a hug before they set off. Thankfully the wolves' territory wasn't too far from their own, and it didn't take them long to get to the meeting spot. The wolves were already there and subconsciously she skimmed her gaze over them until she noted Shay. A few wolves noted their presence but other than weary looks no one said anything as they made their way to the alpha and his family. The tension was obvious on Shay's face, and as Ava and Shay's parents began conversing she nudged him, "Are you scared? I've never seen a demon before. Do you think they'll bring him?"

    Matthew Essex | Demon

Matty had abruptly stopped talking when Cynthia came into the room. "The wolves want to meet tonight." His lips twitched into a smile. There seemed to be a cruelty even to that simple gesture. If the wolves were already calling for a meeting they were panicking. His job was half-done; oh if they weren't frightened of him now, they'd be running for their hills after this. Matthew certainly wasn't scared of them. "Well then, we will meet them." He hoped Kat was only agreeing to this to show off their strength and power. Not to strike up some half-ass peace treaty. If that happened now, before any lives were lost then there would be nothing at stake. The wolves would still think the witches at their beck and call. Kat had gone through a lot of black magic to summon him, and he wanted at least one wolf rug before going back to hell. Crossing his arms he waited for Cynthia to leave before speaking. "As your demon, it's my job to give you advice. The wolves don't respect you right now. Sure, I hurt one of their's but they think this is your coven throwing a tantrum. Don't accept any peace offers until you showcase off our true power- until they're begging for your mercy and their grandchildren's grandchildren tell tales of why not to mess with a coven such as your's."

He'd be disappointed if Kat's coven accepted a peace treaty. If the tension was defused before any real blood could be shed. No, the wolves needed to remember what it felt like to be scared. Well, there was a new apex predator in town now; and Matthew was going to make them submit to his summoner's coven. If the witches truly wanted to be free from the wolves, wanted to be left in peace, wanted revenge for all the years of mistreatment- they wouldn't accept any surrenders until the wolves were drowning in the blood of their own, and numbers fatally crippled. They needed to deal blows that wouldn't heal for years, and would leave lasting scars; a permanent shadowy stain on their history. And anyone who stood beside them. Any possible allies needed to be extinguished as well. The supernatural creatures of this town would remember why witches were, and always have been a force to be reckoned with. Eventually Kat drifted off to go change as the sun was setting; whereas Matthew was waiting for the fun to begin.

It was when the last ray of light was sinking behind the treeline of the rolling hills did Kat reappear. She was dressed differently and the rest of the coven seemed to begin to materialize. "Let's go." Nodding he fell into step beside her. "Lead the way." If things got ugly tonight he needed to be near to Kat. If something happened to her, it happened to him. Kat made him vulnerable. If she died their link would be severed and it'd be straight back to hell for this demon. It wasn't terribly long to get to the meeting spot, and Matt would admit it was wise of them not to go to the witches' territory. He'd of slaughtered them all had Kat let him. The spot was located in the woods, and Matthew could sense their life forces long before they reached the little clearing. Cynthia began to speak first and it was during her speech that he noticed two oddities. Werecats, a species he thought hunters had well... Hunted to extinction. Stubborn race those things. But there were only so much they could do in such tiny numbers- if they were the wolves' Hail Mary, they were fucked.

"We are done serving you mutts." Cynthia hissed at the wolves, short, and to the point. It was when Kat's gaze slid onto him did Matthew feel the need to further the point. "What our esteemed coven leader means to say is, for too long witches have suffered countless indignities at the hands of your... Race. For too long they have rolled over onto their backs and taken whatever shit you've thrown at them. You lost your respect for the witches long ago, and from this moment on witches will not help you. Will not serve you. Should we see you around our territory, we will not hesitate to take actions to protect ourselves. Such as your packmate has learned, by my hand. Heed my warning or learn the meaning of fear- these witches are not your's to bully around any longer. What is the saying? There's a new sheriff in town mutts. Questions?" Black rushed forth covering his eyes as Matt revealed his true nature, a sinister grin curling onto his lips. He was sure that these wolves would rebel against his word, and as soon as they did he would be there to slice them down.

Shay frowned as the demon spoke, "Nobody is talking to you ya hell spawn." He growled. He frowned when his dad looked at him, "Be quiet He snapped. "Cynthia let's be rational about this. We clearly govern the town just fine. so you guys do some work here and there, but nothing out of the ordenary." He explained. He frowned when Cynthia began to talk. "Let's set some terms and we can work out an agreement She said. Shay was glad to hear the lady say they could work something out. Shay watched as his dad stepped forward, only to see him thrown against a tree. "Calvin!" His mom cried as she went to him. Shay looked over seeing the young witch with dark eyes. "Found the pest." He said, glaring at her. He watched as the older witch tried to calm her. Shay looked at Lyla then stepped in the way of her when the witch looked at her. He had just met her, but he felt oddly protective of her.

"Leave us alone." He snapped. He stared in shock when the young girl ripped the skin from the older witch leaving nothing but her muscles. He felt like he was going to be sick from the sight. Suddenly she erupted in flames in screams. He stepped back, moving Lyla with him. This witch was stronger than anything he had seen before. "Get out of here." He whispered to her. "Take your family and go." He said, watching the demon. He knew there was about to be a slaughter. Shay frowned when his dad went to approach the witch. He stepped forward as the demon went to kill him. HIs friends grabbed him along with his mother and pulled him away from the situation. He watched as his father was murdered by this beast.

Shay led them through the woods, retreating from the witch. He wasn't sure what to do right now. He stopped when his mom calaspes on the muddy ground crying about her husband. Shay walked away from Lyla, leaving her with her parents. They were far away from the witches now. "Mom come on." He said. His mom looked at him "I can't She sobbed. Shay sighed and picked her up carrying her in his arms. "Let's go." He said as he led everyone back to their small village in the woods. Shay took his mom to their house and set her in the chair. He started a fire, "Get her some dry clothes." He said to one of the girls. He looked over as his mom spoke. I'm so sorry this happened. She said to her son. Shay walked over to her, "It's not your fault mom." He assured her. He looked at Lyla's family then back at his mom. "Shay....you are alpha nowShe explained. Shay stared at her, frowning. HE didn't know if he was ready for that. "I'll fix everything okay. Don't worry." He said to his mom.

Shay walked over to Lyla and her family, "Keep an eye out for the witches. We don't want to have this happen to anyone else. If it gets too intense for your family you are welcome to some stay with us." He said to them, taking his new role as leader serious. He frowned when one of the wolves objected to werecats staying with them. Shay turned to him, "I don't recall asking your fucking opinion." He growled as he stepped towards the guy. He watched as the guy coward away from him. "This is no time to turn again each other. We have to work together or we will all die." He said to everyone.
Kat frowned when Cynthia began to talk about a treaty. She moved her hand, removing the skin from the woman. She watched as the wolves ran off. She looked at her coven, "Let's be clear people. Everything you do now goes through me." She said as she watched them. "Cynthia was a fool who let the werewolves take advantage of our powers. Run wild with your imagination. If you see a wolf kill it. Also kill the werecats." She instructed. "If you have a problem with that then you can join Cynthia." She threatened.

Kat walked with them back to the house and walked into her room with Matthew. "Thank you for helping me today." She said as she stepped towards him. "Good job wiping out their leader." She said, smiling as she stood close to him. Kat looked him over for a moment then grabbed his face kissing him. She got lost in a sinful kiss with him. Kat pulled away, looking at him, hoping he would kiss her again. Kat bit her bottom lip lightly as she looked at him.
