Fate & Fur

Aiden's eyes softened as he looked at her and saw that she was calming down, giving her a little smile as he held her close, leaning down to kiss her forehead. "I can order something for you too, in case you get hungry later. Leftovers are always the best, anyway." His smile widened, reaching over to open the kitchen drawer where they kept their takeout menus, pulling them out and setting them on the counter.

"You pick whichever one you want, you know I'll eat just about anything." He teased, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to her lips. "And you have to pick the movie, too. I know that's a lot of tough decisions, but I trust you'll make a good decision."

Bailey leaned back slightly as Aiden started to pull takeout menus from the drawer. She glanced at the ones that he set on the counter, staying quiet for a moment. At the moment, the last thing Bailey really wanted to do was eat, though Aiden wasn't wrong to think that she would want something later. So it wouldn't be a bad idea to order something now to have tomorrow. Reaching over, Bailey picked up the menus and looked them over for a moment before handing Aiden a menu for one of their favorite bistros. "How about here then."

With that decided, Bailey leaned her whole body back into his, quiet for a long moment as she thought about what they should watch. "Can we watch Pride and Prejudice?" She asked quietly. Bailey knew that it wasn't Aiden's favorite movie but she knew it would cheer her up a bit.

Aiden gently rubbed her back as she picked out the menu, smiling widely when she handed him one. "Perfect. Do you want your usual, or do you want to try something else?" He asked, pressing a kiss to her forehead, lifting her into his arms to carry her to the couch, where he carefully set her down before tugging a blanket around her. "I'm going to come back and sit in just a minute, I'm going to go order the food and then come right back. Promise." He soothed, squeezing her hand before stepping into their room to place the order, returning a few minutes later as promised after texting James to ask him to pick up the food for them. He was sure Bailey wasn't fond of the idea of strangers around right now.

Once seated next to her he grabbed the remote to turn on the TV, smiling as she asked for Pride and Prejudice. "Of course. I said you get to pick and I meant it." He said, shifting them a bit so he could wrap his arms around her once the movie was going. "Food will be here in about an hour, James is going to pick it up and bring it over."

"Just my usual," Bailey said softly as he lifted her up and carried her off to the couch. A little breath of air left the woman as she tried to calm herself down further. Though she looked at him worriedly as Aiden stepped away and disappeared into their room. She pulled the blanket around herself tighter and only relaxed when Aiden came back out and moved next to her.

"That is nice of him." She murmured as she fell back into him, humming softly as she felt his arms wrap around her body. This was really all she wanted right now. To be held close as they watched a movie. And, honestly, Bailey was quite glad that Aiden was getting James to bring their food over instead of having some delivery person they didn't know to drop it off.

A few months passed, and all of the preparations had been made for Aiden and Bailey's wedding. The pack had been very helpful with everything, and only slightly pushy, and now it was finally the day of the wedding. Aiden had stayed at the pack house the night before while Bailey had stayed at their apartment with her friends and bridesmaids so that they could get ready together before coming over to the house for the ceremony. Aiden had also gotten dressed, mostly with the help of his best man James, although James was also running around making sure everything was perfect, including the special surprise Aiden had planned for Bailey after the celebration was over.

Now though it was nearly time for the ceremony to start, the backyard decorated beautifully. Aiden was very nervous, fiddling with his suit anxiously as he waited for Bailey to arrive.

It was an understatement to say that Bailey was excited, and a bit nervous for the wedding. Even though they were already mated, it meant a lot to Bailey that they were going to get officially married. So she wanted this day to go off without a hitch. There were things she knew she didn't have to worry about at all, like Aiden getting cold feet. But there were other, very unlikely situations running through her mind. Like someone crashing the wedding or the rings being lost or-god forbid- someone having a medical emergency during the wedding. She knew she was just letting her mind run a bit too much, but it was hard not too despite the pure excitement and bliss sitting in her chest.

Bailey was brought to the house a few minutes before the ceremony. Everyone who needed to be seated would already be outside, along with Aiden. Bailey glanced down at her wedding dress for a moment, ensuring that everything was perfect. One of her bridesmaid's came up and gently brushed a strand of hair back into place with a smile before getting into position, now just waiting for the music to start. Once it did, the party started down the aisle and Bailey waited for her turn.

Aiden could tell that Bailey was nervous through the mating bond, and did his best to try to reassure her through the bond, even though he knew that he knew that she couldn't feel the bond like he did. He let out a nervous sigh as he heard the music start, giving James a brief smile when he felt his best man pat him reassuring on the shoulder.

He felt like his heart stopped though when he saw Bailey walking toward him after her bridesmaids, a little nudge from James reminding him to breathe. He grinned at her as she walked toward him, feeling tears well up in his eyes, but instead of reaching up to wipe them away he held them out to her once she was close enough, taking her hands in his and giving them a tight squeeze as she stepped up to the altar next to him. "You look beautiful, Bails.. You always do, but now.. Wow." He whispered with a smile, leaning close to press a kiss to her cheek before they turned to one of the pack elders who had agreed to perform the ceremony for them, giving her a little nod to signal that they were ready to start.

Any nervousness that Bailey had washed away the moment that she saw Aiden's face. A large smile met her and she was quick to return it blissfully. She walked down the aisle at the proper pace but the truth was, she wanted to run. Bailey wanted to launch herself at Aiden but was able to keep herself composed. Though once she was by his side, Bailey reached up and wiped the tear from his eye. "Thank you," She whispered back to him.

Bailey held onto his hands tightly as she moved up onto the alter with him. She turned to the pack elder who started to speak once they were settled. Though her eyes kept going back to Aiden. They had thought it best to keep the ceremony shorter, having known that both of them didn't want to stand there for an hour. As the elder went over the important of marriage and their commitment to one another, Bailey squeezed Aiden's hand, glancing up at him for a moment before looking back to the elder.

"You don't have to thank me for telling the truth." Aiden murmured as he leaned his head into her touch, raising her hand to press a kiss to her knuckles before turning to the pack elder, giving her a little smile as she began to speak. He did his best to listen to what she was saying, but he was too excited to be finally marrying Bailey to pay attention. He did manage to say his vows when prompted, giving her hands a squeeze as he slid the ring onto her finger, and then beaming as she did the same for him.

The elder had barely pronounced them man and wife before Aiden had wrapped his arms around Bailey and tugged her in for a kiss, cupping her cheek with one hand as he spun around with her as the rest of the pack cheered. He rested his forehead against hers once he set her down, beaming at her as he squeezed her hands. "My wife.."

As Aiden was quick to hold her close to him, Bailey did the same Her arms wrapped around his neck, keeping him close. One hand laid against the back of his neck as the other was pressed against his back. She kissed him back lovingly and deeply. Though she had not expected to be lifted off the ground, so when Aiden did so, Bailey was quick to hold onto him tightly. It only took her a moment to adjust though and to kiss him back.

Once Aiden brought her back to the ground, Bailey's hugged him close to her. A few tears started to run down her cheeks as pure bliss was filling her up. Bailey squeezed his hands back and pulled her head back slightly so she could look Aiden in the eyes. "My husband." She whispered back before leaning up and pressing another, but quicker, kiss against his lips.

Aiden felt overwhelmed with love as he held Bailey in his arms, feeling a lot like he had when they'd first mated. He gladly kissed her back, his grip tightening on her before pulling back to rest his forehead against hers, gazing at her lovingly. He laughed a bit out of pure joy as he held her, gently wiping her tears away as he smiled at her, beaming with pride as she called him her husband before returning her kiss.

Once they broke their kiss he turned to the crowd, James unable to help but give them both a big hug before stepping back sheepishly and wishing them a congratulations before Aiden took Bailey's hand to lead her back toward the house where the little reception had been set up. They'd decided to keep it simple with just appetizers and cake, having not wanted to make too big of a fuss for everyone despite the pack having said that they were more than willing to help with whatever they had wanted. "What would you like to eat first?" He asked as he squeezed her hand, smiling down at her.

Bailey took in a deep breath, feeling both extremely happy and a little overwhelmed with everything that was going on. It was a lot to take in, being married to the love of her life. So the last thing that was really on her mind was food. Even so, Bailey glanced over at the options before she turned back into Aiden. Her arms wrapped around him again and she pressed her face against his chest, pulling him into a tight hug. "I just want you," Bailey whispered to him.

In truth, Bailey just wanted a moment with Aiden before the pack rushed in. She was sure they had a lot to say, which Bailey was so thankful for. But she wanted this moment with the love of her life before they handled their guests. Though as she heard the pack start to fill up the house behind them, Bailey pulled away completely except for her hand in his. "Let's get something to eat," Bailey said as she headed over to the food table with him.

Aiden chuckled softly as he wrapped his arms around her tightly, tucking his nose into her hair. "I think I can give you that.." he murmured softly as he squeezed her in his arms. He was glad to have this moment with her, no matter how brief. Once she started to pull away he leaned down to press a kiss to her lips, hoping to convey all his love for her, before pulling back with a smile. "We can leave whenever you're ready. Everyone knows we have a honeymoon to get to, even if you don't know where we're going yet." He teased as he squeezed her hand, following her over to the food table.

After filling a small plate with food for them to share they paused near the door so that he could hug guests and shake their hands, thanking them for coming and everything that they did to help with the wedding.

Bailey did take a moment to eat some of the food on their shared plate, wanting to eat some of it before they got too busy. And, soon enough, they were smiling, hugging and shaking hands. Though Bailey was glad that they were getting a chance to talk to everyone. They all meant to much to both of them, and Bailey felt so grateful for all of the work they did to get this wedding to happen. She tried her best to stay with Aiden throughout the party but there were times where they both were pulled this way and that.

Though after being at the reception for quite some time, even dancing and drinking a bit, Bailey found herself back at Aiden's side. She laid her head against his shoulder for a moment. Aiden was always able to recharge her. "We should leave for the honeymoon," Bailey said with a smile, lightly tugging on his side as she did so. "I think everyone is pretty much drunk as it is." She laughed lightly. "Or watching the kids as they sleep."

Aiden was thrilled that Bailey was having a good time, and although he'd been convinced into having one glass of champagne during a very nice toast that James gave, he avoided the other offers of drinks since he knew he'd have to drive them to their honeymoon destination, even if it wasn't far. He grinned at her as she laid her head against his shoulder, wrapping an arm around her waist as he pressed a kiss to her forehead. "You're ready to go? I don't think they'd mind if we slipped out now.." he murmured, smiling as he gave her a squeeze before leadng her out to the car and helping her in before getting behind the driver's seat, tugging off his tie.

"Ok, as you know the honeymoon is a surprise, so I'm going to need you to tie this over your eyes. Not for long, just until I tell you to take it off." Aiden smiled, holding up his tie as he offered to help her out it over her eyes.

A little laugh left Bailey's lips as Aiden handed her the tie. "Very well then." She said as she took it from him. Bailey closed her eyes before wrapping it around her head and tying it in the back. Once it was secured, she dropped her hands and laid her head against the back of the seat. "It's on." Bailey told him before she started to move her hand around, looking for his. It took a few tries before her fingers pressed against his hand, at which point she interlaced her fingers with his.

"I am excited to see where we are going," Bailey said warmly.

Aiden smiled as she tied it on, waving her hand a few times in front of her face for good measure before pulling out of the driveway and heading down the road. He made the drive a bit longer than necessary, given that their destination was right up the road, not even five minutes, but he managed to drag it out to about twenty minutes before he got too excited and pulled into the driveway of the house, a little homemade sign tied to the porch railing that said 'welcome home Bails' swaying slightly in the breeze, parking the car before getting out and running around to help her out, making sure that the blindfold was still on.

"Ok, here we are.. I'm going to spin you around a couple times just for fun, and then you can take the tie off." He grinned, pressing a kiss to her cheek before doing as he'd said, spinning her around slowly a few times before stopping her and tugging at the blindfold. He beamed at her once it was off, looking a bit anxious, hoping she liked it. "Surprise.."

Once Aiden started helping her out of the car, Bailey held onto him, not wanting to trip over something that she couldn't see. Though when he mentioned spinning her, Bailey let out a small giggle and let go so he could do so. While he didn't spin her very fast, she did feel a little dizzy, especially as she had been blindfolded for the last 20 minutes. Once he took the blindfold off, Bailey looked at what was in front of her, it took her a few moments for her eyes to adjust and for Bailey to piece together what was going on. But once she saw the sign, her jar dropped.

"Oh my God," Bailey gasped as her hands moved up to cover her mouth. She looked over the house for a long moment before looking up at Aiden, tears swelling in her eyes. "Did you? Is this?" Bailey couldn't even finish her sentences, she was so blown away.

Aiden grinned at seeing her reaction, giving her a little squeeze as he nodded. "I have to confess that I have been lying to you for the past few months, because whenever I said I had a pack meeting I was really here with James and a few of the others building this for you. The girls helped with the paint and decorating inside though, and I managed to get them to ask you some questions about specifics over the weeks without you getting suspicious, so I consider that a win." He confessed, pressing a kiss to her cheek.

"Do you want to go in..?" He asked softly, giving her hands a squeeze as he smiled at her. "I hope you like it.. I figured you'd be happier in a house than an apartment for the rest of our lives."

Bailey nodded to him eagerly as he asked if she wanted to go inside. She squeezed his hand back but did so a bit harder from him. She was just so taken aback by the fact that Aiden and the others had been here, building a house for her and Aiden to live in. It was... Well, simply put, it was truly amazing. "I love you," Bailey whispered back, looking up at him with bright, loved filled eyes. "Lets go in, I want to see the inside.

Once they walked through the front door, Bailey found herself crying again. The ladies really had been listening when they asked about painting and decorating questions. It was all so perfect. "Now I know why they brought those paint swatches." Bailey said as she looked around at the entryway. It took her a moment but eventually Bailey moved deeper into the house until she was at the entrance of the living room. "I can't believe you were able to do all of this."
