Hmm.. What inspires me? I suppose I just have a very big imagination, haha :') I don't know really, most of the time they're just random ideas that pop into my head, but I also get inspiration from other books I've read or from films, particularly ones that focus on drama. I'm writing one sort of comedy though at the moment for my friend, which was inspired by a British comedy from the 80's I was watching on telly :D
I suppose it's also just the bands/people I write about that inspire me as well :') I just like them so much that I have to write about them.

I've learned that taking a long walk in the wilderness or around the lake and trying to think about how I would describe the things I see when I've got writer's block is often pretty helpful for me. =)

Yah, it's amazingly helpful xD
Especially when I go all manic and get into a writing frenzy, unable to slow down long enough to make sure all my spaces and letters are in the right places.
As for the candles... part of me wants to say 'omg, it was HORRIBLE! No electricity for at LEAST three hours!', but the other, more rational, part says go ahead and give it a try.
I guess it did the trick for me ^^

Honestly, I've been writing since I was thirteen, so I'm not entirely sure what it was exactly, but I think it was a combination of things...
The fact that my older sister was writing stories with her friends and I idolized her, I moved in with my dad and his crazy wife that hated me, and I was just plain bored out of my mind most of the time, because I was pretty much confined to the house during the winter.

This particular story came to me out of nowhere during a wind storm when our power went out. I was sitting there at the table surrounded by dying candles trying to scribble out everything I could think to remember xD
