I'm going to stream the episode online so I can watch it because the channel TVD usually airs on is going to take a weeks break. And I can't wait because this episode looks SERIOUSLY AWESOME.

Anyway, the moonstone is white, and I found out that white moonstones facilitates spiritual growth. So I think Katherine wants more strength or power.
MAYBE that's why she wants it haha. :)
Well moonstones could come under the topic 'myth' but if you google moonstones a bunch of websites come out. So they may not exist in real life, and I think moonstones are just myths. Just like vampires, witches and werewolves :)
