As Ciara's reaction: I've been in similar situations with friends where I've sworn I'll never talk to them again but when something terrible happens to one of us my resolve just dissolves and we become friends straight away.
Ciara's falling apart at the seams and when Gee offers her comfort it's just too easy to fall back into old habits.
I hope that makes sense :/
As for the text: Police will be involved and that will be mentioned in the next chapter, but in a weird way, a part of Ciara's heart still belongs to Aiden. I mean, she was going to marry him - she loved him.
