WTF? I MEAN SERIOUSLY. WTF?
That's really unprofessional. Who was running that place, anyway? Five year olds? My ten year old niece doesn't even pull crap like that. How rude!
This is true. Oh well. You'll find another job soon, I'm sure. Plus, you've got job experience, right? I think I remember you saying you'd worked at a restaraunt or something.
They may or may not be like that, but I don't think it could hurt to at least go on the interview and ask them a few questions just to be sure. Just be careful about it. I'd hate for something bad to happen with you just getting into college and all. That'd suck royally. D:
0.0 That's...odd. Really odd. I've gotten stuff in the mail similar to that, and to my understanding, you only get paid according to what you sell, and you may not even get all of the promised pay. A friend of mine fell for it, and even though the letter promised 18 dollars per buyer, she only got minimum wage per customer. They applied all these weird fees and took the regular taxes out and such. Except there were no benefits like insurance or retirement or anything like that.
That's great! :D Mine's about a ten minute drive from my house. That's one positive thing about community college is getting to live at home. The only thing I'd change about home is how much privacy I get. xD I rarely ever have the house to myself anymore, and from the sounds of it, once Dad starts work, I'll actually have "me time" from 2 till whenever he gets home.
0.o It does sound fishy. Maybe it's a legit place, but the management's kinda wonky.
Yeah, it sounds weird, but it pays 14 bucks an hour. xD He's definitely not complaining. haha.
Oh, okay. That sounds like a good enough distance for independence, but you could always go home on the weekends if you wanted. :D
Where's your job interview, if you don't mind me asking? I'm trying to get on at this daycare about five minutes from my house.
Yeah. I couldn't have kept attending if it wasn't for that. I need scholarships to go. There's no way I could afford it without them. I absolutely refuse to get loans since I don't have a job, and my parents are living off unemployment. Thankfully, Dad got a phone call today letting him know he could start working at this carpet company on Monday. He's so excited. :D
That's awesome, Meggibum! How far away is that from where you live? Like, a state aways or something?
It's alright. I think I got in with the wrong crowd last semester, so I'm going to be shopping for new, better friends. I didn't get into the party scene or anything, but I hated being around them all strung out. Other than that, I kept my 3.75 GPA, so that's always good for the scholarships and such. haha.
