I can relate to this so much. My grandfather passed away when I was eleven, and I'm twenty-two now. I often feel like I'm forgetting the sound of his voice, or how he smells, but then I catch a sent that's just what he used to smell like and his voice comes back to me.

I'm sorry about your grandfather. I actually wrote this one about my dad. He passed very unexpectedly when I was 11. I've always kind of felt like I was the only person this kind of thing has happened to, in regards to things that I would think I would remember about him (like his voice, or smell) coming and going from my mind. It's comforting to know that I'm not the only one.
