I've heard of this method. If my poems/stories or whatever got really popular I'd do that. Otherwise I'll take my chances and hope people won't do it. I don't see how anyone would ever feel okay doing that anyways. but. people like that are out there. Thank you though for sharing that. It might come in handy.

Theres a cheap way to copywrite your works but it doesnt always hold up in court so its risky but you can take a copy and original and mail it to yourself. When you recieve it back do not open it ever. What this does is puts a date on the writing and that you didnt open it proves it to be true so therefore if someone else claims your work you can show proof it was yours before the date of the other person claiming it.

Exactly! Staying unique. That's terrible that someone would do that. At first I was scared that would happen but figured I'd chance it. Hope it doesn't though. I started around age seven but didn't really write about real stuff until around that same age. I love writing though. Stories. Poetry. Anything really.

I had another account here but for some reason I cant get into anymore so I made another account but then I found some people had tried claiming my poetry as their own so I chose to not repost my works. Anyways I have been writing since I was 12 ish and I have found that at times I catch myself writing the same things. My goal is to creativly speak from the heart and emotions while staying unique.

I feel like a lot of things have already been said in almost every way. I try not to sound like every other poem out there. My goal really is to tell a story through metaphors and display my feelings. The best poems are written that way. At least in my opinion ya know?

Yea, everyone else just seems to write what ever they are thinking and assume its enough.
