Yes but there is also different grades of depression and everyone feels different when they have depression, not every one would react the same way to it, and when depression gets really bad, you feel alone if you don't have anyone to talk to, it's not an assumption that no one knows what it feels like, it's a feeling that makes you feel alone. This all just symbolises feelings.

I hate it when people assume that no one knows what depression is like. That's bull; A LOT of people know what depression's like. Not to say that that makes anybody's depression any less real, but it's true.
