Green Roses

Would green roses be so bad
If there were no cherry or white
Blue roses dyed deep and sad
Yellow and orange sin the night
Blood red roses for the bride
Pale cream atop the casket
Black bleeding for broken hearts
Rainbows in a basket

But green is not for envy
And green is not for money
Green does not fool
Or fake as sweet as honey
Green is for growing
The wasted high and the lows
Rose leafs are always green
For all the good it shows
So let the buds in bloom
Show the color they were born
Growing green until the end
Till the petals pale and torn
Falling to the dirt
There they lay to dry
Frozen in their time
Unalive but won’t die
Sucking out the blood
Trust a vampire
As all the events
Planed to transpire
Begin to appear
And spear through the gloom
Kiss the hazel earth
And change the trees from doom
