A Marine’s Call

You hear their call,
You drop whatever you are doing,
And run.
The sound you can’t refuse,
The sound you long for,
You hear and then you leave.
There you go to fight,
There you run to do what is right,
You go believing that nothing will go wrong,
You are there to save,
To help,
To protect everyone else.
You are a hero to us all,
