Away I Went

The day i was born i knew life would be short.
I wasn't the girlie sort.
My mother did not like the fact.
Told me I was no better than a piece of crap.
I wanted to run.
Just go chase the sun.
Mom tried to change me.
She was so damn greedy.
Did not care about her last daughter.
My lief was full of terror.
Then that night came.
She came in my room using only candlelight.
Told me this is what I had to do,
"If you was to be my daughter, you'll do this for your ma."
She handed me the blade.
And faded into the shadows.
I began to cry.
I did not want to die.
Si I lifted the blade to my arm.
I watched as the blood poured like the rain outside.
And I screamed in agony.
Then I ran.
My door burst open with a slam.
In my blood my mother read,
Mom I always loved you and I always have and guess what Ma
I forgive you too.
