Insight

As he stalked through high weeds
And crunched through piled snow
He stopped to think life through
All he didn’t know.

Thoughts run deep
As emotions cut deeper
Steps dazed
As he neared unknown destinations
Earth blurred
As nothing changed.

But the world kept going on.

Then his final step lead
To a place untold
To a face unknown
To a light
Blinding bright.

He finally awoke in a place; warm
A snowless land
With endless sand
To find a stranger
With a smile and hope
And released the anger
He had not realized.

Before his crimson eyes
An outstretched hand materialized
He took it
The stranger shook with it
And as he looked into the strangers gaze
He awoke from his breathless daze.

Surroundings registered
Memories reoccurred
And all the things he once didn’t know
Upon him they were now bestowed.

The stranger then came into true sight
As he laughed with a sound delight
An old man was he, this guiding man
Who insights the truth beyond this land.
