Enter Stage Left

There’s a theater in my head
Like a second reality
It’s full of “what if”s
Scenes of love
And how they all should be

Enter stage left and sweep me off my feet.

But there’s not a dress rehearsal
And no one knows their lines.
No director to stop it when things go bad
No way to rewind.
Willy says the world’s a stage
But maybe he’s a liar
Cause if we’re all merely players,
Where are all the writers?

So yeah it’s all been planned out
It’s a perfect play-by-play
But on opening night we stumble
We fall
Things always seem to change

We enter stage left but won’t blow them away.

It’s cause there’s not a dress rehearsal
And no one knows their lines.
No director to stop it when things go bad
No way to rewind.
Willy says the world’s a stage
But maybe he’s a liar
Cause if we’re all merely players,
Where are all the writers?

Life is inevitable
Never predictable
Never has a script
And never knows your pain
You can’t tell it what to do,
Little input you can give it
Stop looking, start seeing
Take a chance and just live it.

Cause there isn’t a dress rehearsal
And no one knows their lines.
No director to stop it when things go bad
No way to rewind.
Willy says the world’s a stage
But maybe he’s a liar
Cause if we’re all merely players,
Where are all the writers?
