The Ruined Bond

I waited because I trusted you.
I wasted time hoping someday you’ll be back here soon.
But you never did the same for me.
I never noticed … you’re still that same cold stone.

I remember as you whispered your promise,
While the sweet rain poured over us.
But now who are you,
Standing like you forget the past?

At times I look in your eyes . . .
I never mentioned I saw a lot of lies.
