The Cricket's Sad Song
Chirp Chrirp
Chirp Chirp
I lay awake and listen to the crickets sing
and my ears instantly ring
Not but eight years ago when I heard the sound
I would think that sleep was no were around
I would toss and turn in my bed
wishing to rest my weary head
But now when I hear those crickets sing
I think of the many brothers I lost, and how my heart stings
I toss and turn in my bed
unable to get the horrific pictures out of my head
So I listen to the crickets sad song
As I lay awake in my bed and know this night will be long
Chirp Chirp
Chirp Chirp
As I lay awake in my bed and know this night will be long
Chirp Chirp
