Here I Stand

Here I stand,
In the eye of the storm.
With no sight of land,
With no hope of dawn.

The wind howling,
ripping me apart,
I hear screaming,
It's my aching heart.

The waves are breaking around me,
Confusing my sense of direction,
Abandoned in a sea,
Without any source of protection.

My sails have blown away,
My boat's tipping port,
I wish for the calm to stay,
To find the peace I sought.

As I take my final breath
Before I'm swept away,
I hear no sound, almost as if I'm deaf.
ThenI'm gone under the waves of grey.

And my sillent plea,
My cry for help,
Floating away like leaves...
And my depression ends on my drowning, my last gulp.
