He said.

”I trust you.”
He says,
“I trust you.”
And I believe him.
I understand him,
And I trust him too.

“I love you.”
He says,
“I love you.”
And I believe him.
I smile at him,
And I love him too.

“I’m happy.”
He says,
“I’m happy for you.”
And I believe him.
I’m excited,
And I’m happy for me too.

“I’m hurt.”
He says,
“I’m hurt, but not by you.”
And I believe him.
I cry for him,
Because I’m hurt too.

“I hate.”
He says,
“I hate my life.”
But I don’t believe him.
I don’t understand him.
I don’t smile at him.
And I’m not excited.
I don’t cry,
But I don’t scold.
No body should feel this way.
No body should feel so cold.
So I hug him.
And I never let him go.
