Romeo & Juliet
I bite my lip & think about the day when you'll arrive,
Your voice will be calm & collect unlike my insides.
My lips start to bleed because I've been dreaming too long,
And so I lay here in pain as the hope has gone.
I close my eyes & have images of you beside me running in my head,
Your hands will be soft & beautiful unlike the life I've led.
My eyes begin to water from wishing so hard & for some time,
And so I cry in horror of knowing you're still not mine.
I yearn for you & dream of nothing but us,
Your need for me will grow strong in a mad rush.
My heart begins to crack & spilt from hoping so hard,
And so I slam the knife further into my heart.
Oh what have you done to us?
Could you not see how I loved you?
What must we go through?
