Return

hot breath inviting frigid hands
near the hearth, there's no room to breathe
flames shoot up and she gazes at lights
light produces heat, but it doesn't seem to reach
her shaking frame, cloaked by a thin fabric
brown-haired girl, she won't forget last summer
when the sun will return, she doesn't have a clue
so she waits patiently as the white cotton accumulates
mesmerizing at the sight, but paralyzing to the touch
shaky breath in and out
patience wearing thin, boundries breaking
her eyes cloud and dams break
it's quite evident,
summer will never return.
