Bleeding Love

A little girl waits,

Poised to strike,

Feeling the bloodshed,

Splattered in the night.

She closes her eyes,

And listens to her heart,

As it begins to tremble,

From the years apart.

His eyes used to wander,

All over her fragile, broken body,

It was the only time she ever felt,

Like she was actually somebody,

But then the war came,

And he disappeared into the darkness,

Leaving her with nothing,

But one last, loving kiss.

So now she holds out a shaking hand,

And desperately calls out his name,

But it does not really matter,

When all hatred is the same.

So as she whispers her goodbyes,

She steadily ignores the pain,

Though she knows that written on her heart,

Will forever be his name.
