The Breeze

The Gentle breeze dances with my hair
It whispers softly in my ear
These open eyes carry my blank stare
That comes with this paralyzing fear

I see you've left me here for dead
Solemn and alone
I feel the target you've put on my head
For any random stone

Frozen to the ground I stand
as the lights all fade to gray
To the sky I raise my bloody hand
Begging for one more day

Nothing here could tame the beast
That hides beneath my breast
This heart was meant to be dis ceased
Beats strong behind my chest

I look around at the graying scene
As my ribs are caught ablaze
This hell i am in is molding a screen
Forming a smoky haze

Blind to all but my deepest lust
It's ripping apart my soul
a taste similar to that of rust
drunk like a dog from a bowl

here I am down on my knees
I my most pathetic stance
I start to cry out my silent pleas
My demons all start to dance

Just as i lay down to die
I hear my lover's voice
Before i go to lay and cry
I suddenly rejoice

I wake up cold in my bed
with her there at my side
The dream was only in my head
And I am still alive

The Gentle breeze dances with my hair
It whispers softly in my ear
This open heart carries her loving care
That chases away my fear
