Teach Me

Teach me and show me what childhood was like,
I've grown up to fast, and the years have flown by.
Suppose that I never had a good chance,
But please take my hand and show me the way.

A frightened young women hidden in a girls face,
She didn't have a choice, her life's ruled by fate.
Grew up in a broken home she's a broken girl now.
She missed out on a large part of life.

Teach me and show me what childhood was like,
I've grown up to fast, and the years have flown by.
Suppose that I never had a good chance,
But please take my hand, and show me the way.

The things I've missed out on won't ever return,
The path that I've walked, with the world on my back.
It's such a relief to know that someone is there,
Someone to help, who actually cares.

Teach me and show me what childhood was like,
I've grown up to fast, and the years have flown by.
Suppose that I never had a good chance,
But please take my hand, and show me the way.

Please take my hand, hold out your hand and…

Teach me and show me what childhood was like,
I've grown up to fast, and the years have flown by.
Suppose that I never had a good chance,
But please take my hand, and show me the way.
