Chameleon

Icy blue eyes mirror something inside
As you dish out each and every scripted line
Take part in this game?
I disrespectfully decline
Whatever is your goal?
You can't even decide

All this time watching
I have good eyes
I've studied this
And you know what I find?
A moth comes out at night
To avoid being revealed
It's much easier in the dark
To keep your motives concealed

While you play victim
And run from the beast
It seems you've become your own enemy
Spinning and swirling this delicate web
You're in so far
You've lost your head
Swift, powered wings must keep you from sticking
You destructive little hypocrite

You judge what you need
And morph accordingly
Saying anything that will make it easy
Supposedly, you aim to please
Only to turn around and harm everyone who's near
Turn your back on them by using their fears

Your chameleon ways are surely frustrating
But you'd get no award, just the lowest rating
All you've set out to do and all of your degrading
Your karma, my dear, is much belated
And it's not my fault you've made yourself ill-fated

Wishing for an outcome that's out of your hands
I hope you know that you don't stand a chance
Everything you say and whatever you share
Majority would get the vote
But you hold no jurisdiction here

Your personalities create friction
And you focus on disection
Of every situation
For the smallest flaw that you can add to you collection
That you can use one day to win
But I have just one suggestion
Before you do that
Take a look at your reflection
