Happily Ever After...

Happily ever after,
Who knew it could be a disaster?
After everything that I've been told,
I watch and wait for my life to unfold.
Will my Prince Charming ever come,
Or to loneliness must I succomb?
The man to carry me into the sunset,
Who will protect me from my every threat.
He who will save me from my wicked witch,
But maybe this is just a glitch?
For all that I have waited for,
I don't know if I can wait much more.
Hope is such a delicate thing,
There's the good and the bad that it can bring.
But for a while I will hold on,
And wait to see my brand new dawn.
For on the horizon I will see,
My Prince Charming come to rescue me.
When he comes I'll have joy and laughter,
Happily ever after.
