Love, The Four Letters of Life

I look into your blue eyes and I feel myself beginning to freeze,
Your eyes are so cold and so easy to get lost in,
But deep inside I see this bright blaze calling me in with warmth,
There is where I found your heart, there is where I will reside.

I wondered this tundra to reach the warmth that burned so bright,
My footprints have disappeared because the snow has filled them,
My way out has vanished with the wind and the cold,
A white sheet blinds me from the way to return.

In my heart I do not want to return to where I have come from,
The place where I felt so alone and had nothing but my thoughts,
My world was dark and filled with the echoes of my fears,
And with this blaze I see in the near distance I hope to be the sun.

As I approach this bright blaze with all my hopes,
I see it’s a heart that deserves all the attention in the world,
Damaged slightly but I know with my help it will be cured,
So I grab the heart and pull it close and feel the warmth.

This heart is the heart I was meant to find,
It is healed and has no reason to fear ever being hurt,
In my world it is the sun and basis to all life,
Forever it will remain in my sky, the heart of my love.
