The Other Side

You claim it was all for the better
But it was really just your pride
Those children whom used to live so happily
Now have to run and hide
Their fathers take up arms
Their mothers sacrifice
All from fear and love
To protect their child's life
They will fight until it kills to move
No matter what it takes
To prevent that chilling cry
And save their colored race

You claim it was all for justice
In reality it was all for naught
For that little boy you beat and break
Will cry and pray to God
All his hate and vengeance
Will drive him over the edge
All that torment he endured
And all the blood that he has shed
Will forever stain your hands
That disgraceful color red

You claim that it's your duty
But who gave you control?
Those lives are theirs and theirs alone!
What right do you have to decide
Which one lives and which one dies?
What if it were your kin
That were scorned and beaten?
You must never ignore the voice of reason
Because there's always going to be another side

So I know that it's nothing special, and I wasn't sure what category to place it under. If you know what type of poem it is then please let me know so I don't look retarded for placing it under the wrong one. Comments are welcome and even some constructive criticism. But please, don't be too hard one me. I honestly don't like to be criticized. Dx
