Thoughts Out

I pick the petals
Slowly
And watch them fall
Slower than I pulled them off

I listen to the rain
Each drop
Releases my pain
I walk into the day

I close my eyes
Where am I
Open and I see
All the things around me

But a second back
The world was black
I blink again
I am still standing in the rain

Left and then right
Look up into the night
sky
Why

I am so small
The world is so big
Yet what I do
Still affects it too

This world is beatiful
But it can be ugly
Some days can be easy
Others are a bit hard

Time goes on its own accord
A second can be longer than a mile
A minute as thin as a board
But it all takes a while

Solitude in and out of a crowd
How there can be so many people near
Yet they are farther now that they are here
Or just until they are gone

What we fear is what we fear
There is no explanantion here
When we are scared we are
When we run, we never go far enough

Little yo-yo's
Held by a string
Pulled back straight into your nose
Let the blood run cold

Let's all envy the birds
Cause when they want to get away
They can fly away
While we are bound to the earth
