Guardian Angel
My darling I am here for you
Even if you don't notice me.
And I will protect you
For all eternity.
I shan't sleep until you're safe
And even then I will not rest.
I'll help you fall in love with others
If, for you, that is best.
My wings will cloak you from blistering pain
My arms will stop you falling apart.
And if you need someone to turn to
You'll always have my unwavering heart.
I'll be invisible to the eye
For your happiness, I'll hide away.
As I am your guardian angel

Written on the 15th January 2009. My most heartfelt poem I think I've ever written (although I cannot clearly say, as I dont particularly remember how I felt when I wrote my other poems).
