Ode to My Mother

I hope the day I die, is long before your death.
Maybe, just maybe, when I die you'll finally see me.
On the day I die, I hope you flee back in the past.
You never cared before, but maybe now you'll think about the tears you caused.
No, you weren't the worst, but definitely not the best.
For anyone who enjoys hurting others deserves to witness their loved ones death.
However, it may not phase you much, for there's much more important things.
After all, I'm just your oldest daughter who fought and fought to rein.
I'll leave the world and your grays will fade and you'll never have to complain.
Your marriage may crumble in the long run though, because who else will deal with your bitter words and all the blame?
There's no doubt that I love you, not like it matters.
I'm just a thorn in your hand, a cramp in your leg.
I'll keep quiet with my thoughts, since you never actually listen.
Maybe when I die, you'll realize what I was missing.
